Pci card too big

    Hi All...Recieved pci card for access control system yesterday,went to install it and it physically too big for the desktop(flat one) the ,does anyone know can you get an external connection for a pci card and if so where can i get one..? thanks in advance:confused:

    Maybe an internal riser card is in order.It will let the card sit horizontally instead of vertically

    As said above a riser card might be in order.If that isnt an option see if you can return it and see if they have a usb version of that card.

    Its a pain in the ass as a lot of pci cards dont fit in dell/compaq.Graffix cards being the main culprit

    The other option is to buy a larger case and transfer your existing hardware into it. They can be quite cheap when you arent trying to build a gaming rig (and even then, are very affordable)

    Thanks for replies...the riser wont work jus tried it and still not fitting..and just off phone with the company that sent it and no usb version:(..think have to get the bigger boxing or maybe it will have to be the hammer and saw:P
