Im replacing the brake pads on my road bike.

Any tips as to how I can get the rubber pad out of the brake caliper that you can screw of the brakes. I both new ones to save on paying a shop, and now I wish I got them to do it.

Brute force isnt working so far.

    Any tips?

    Thanks

What type of brakes do you have?

Dual pivot brakes have a little screw that secures the pad so you can simply slide new ones in and not have to remove any shoes and risk losing washers and makes asjustments easier (you may need to make small adjustments as the contact points on the rim for new and old pads on the same caliper will be different).

yes they are dual pivot. i removed that little screw but still no success... any ideas. tryed boiling them cause thought steel might expand making it easiere but no look.
