God, I hope so but the only Drive-In I have ever heard of out that way was a Drive-In Bank .. think it was an AIB.

I heard the ad on spin1038 on thursday evening but didn't catch all the details but i think it said it was opening this weekend and another on the northside in a few weeks. I think there was a number to text for cinema times but i didn't get it either. I've looked and there doesn't seem to be a website. Would also like to know more if anyone hears anything.

Man this is freaking me out. Is this a wind-up? (checks the date - not April 1st).

If there's a new drive through then I wanna know about it, dammit

I emailed spin but got nothing back, I heard that there was one on tonight but obviously can't be sure.

Maybe its like the drive in in the pheonix park during the summer. Surely if it was permanent theere would be more advertising about it.

I went to the one in the Phoenix park recently to watch The Dark Knight, it was good craic but more of a novelty really, i was expecting a huge projector screen but instead it was a relatively small screen that you'd get at the side of the stage at concerts etc.

Anyway, opening a new drive in cinema at the start of Winter doesn't seem like the greatest idea to me.

Maybe they're allowing cars into meeting house square in Temple Bar. :)

I remember they had a few special event drive ins before in Dublin and they all were pretty disastrous. Poor traffic management and sound issues were the main concerns I think.

Suppsoe it's appropriate to resurrect a zombe thread considering the week that's in it.
