Krudler hit the nail on the head.

    You will cringe.
    Alot.

But you might not have a bad taste in your mouth.

If you do watch. Stay away from the sequels to this movie. Be warned.

It's a good film. Something I must watch again at some point.

Stopped making me think...."what if I had done this instead"
    :p

It's a good concept but it could have been much better, I definitely wouldn't have cast Ashton Kutcher in it, he's just too much of a prat to pull off a role with serious elements effectively.

I'd imagine that it would have made a much better book than a film.

I rarely get engrossed in a movie but I did with The Butterfly Effect. I loved the concept behind the film. Kutcher was poorly cast however.

I enjoyed the film, despite me thinking Ashton Kutcher is a huge douche. I thought the idea of the film was great, the plot progression was good too - I love time travel. I thought it must be an actor's dream to play out alternative versions of the same character (eg Kayleigh played by Amy Smart - bored waitress, preppy princess, hooker)

I dunno. Maybe people hated it because they didn't like the story, or the actors, but I enjoyed the causality and his futile "fight" to change/better his outcome...it all came full circle at the end, which I thought was a perfect ending to the film.

I know how caustic this film can be (even Peter Griffin ripped into it) so I wouldn't give it my recommendation, but I enjoyed it, and to each their own.

I thought it was great. My oh actually stayed awake to watch..he always falls asleep watching films. I enjoyed the 2nd one too, not as good as the first but worth a watch.

I enjoyed it but I couldn't really take it seriously to be honest because Ashton Kutcher is the main character in it and I'm just not really used to seeing him in anything "serious" if you will.

    It's worth a watch though.

I love how it's got nothing really to do with the butterfly effect. Rubbish film though!
