    hi all
    i was thinking of buying a laptop i was hoping to get a 4gb 5oo or 350 mb i was thinking a sony vaio ?? although i have seen a acer with 4gn and 1000mb at an ok price but its pc world and there staff are not nice also what are peoples views on mac laptops ? also i dont want to pay crazy money

    Read THIS. The more info you give, the better responses you'll get. It's better to be as specific as possible, say "i don't want to spend crazy money" doesn't tell us anything, as peoples idea of "crazy" are different.

    budget 500e to 600e
    intended use email internet dvds maybe games like football manager 2010 but not ot bothered if cant play it either ,word
    mobility not overly important
    warranty not important
    using windows xp at mo

    I'd probably get something like the Dell Studio 15, the one for 549 would fit the bill. Dell Studio 15.

    You never mentioned how much that vaio or acer cost?
