Best place to start is Battle of the Axe

    http://www.battleoftheaxe.com/

There's a couple of months wait before you get a slot but it's a fairly good indication on how your material will go, how crowds generally are and if you want to keep doing it.

On the other hand, the money you spend on transport, stress drinking and post-depression junkfood you could easily spend on something more life affirming for yourself. Like a grappling hook.

I did my first gig in July & i'm lovin it ! ... Robbie Bonhams post in this section is a must read !

Battle of the Axe is great place to start! Or ... do a course that finishes with a 'show case'. ((recommend Aiden Killian's course if you go this rout))

    best of luck!

    Hey!

There's a new comedy club after starting up in Dublin, it's on every secong Monday in Cassidy's on Westmoreland St, they have an open mic section, so anyone can get up and do a bit, it doesnt have to be a certain amount of time and you don't have to book it, you can just turn up, the next one is Monday 30th Nov. It's called the 27Comedy Club, you can check Facebook to Email 27comedyclub@gmail.com

    Hope that helps!
    Good Luck
