iPod Touch - Help Please

    Hey guys,

    Im about to head out and buy myself an iPod Touch but i had a few questions first, and i was hoping some of you could help me out.

    Firstly, what is the most recent generation..is it 3rd? I was looking on the apple website and i see that a 32gb touch is 279E(http://store.apple.com/ie/browse/home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_touch), so im thinking this is very reasonable..then i go to the argos website and suddenly im in a world of confusion...

    Argos has a 32gb(same size as above) for 369! While on the apple site 369 will get you a 64gb. Scroll down a little further on that argos page and youll se that they do however offer a "NEW" "3G" ipod touch for 279, as on the apple site.

    So, the "NEW" touch is cheaper? whats the difference?...The "NEW" one on the argos site is called a 3G..but i thought the 3GS was the most recent? (maybe thats iphone im thinking of)

    Anyway help would be much appreciated, id be ecstatic if i could get a 32gb touch for 279E



    EDIT: Can this be "jailbroken" so that i can get apps for free?
