Best horn in a car?

    My Golf gives me a real tepid sound. Do any manufacturers give consideration to the sound of the horn as they might the sound of the engine?

    The horn was so quiet and feeble in my car I swapped it out for 2 airhorns, does the job for me.

    I drove a Toyota Avensis yesterday and its the sh!ttest sounding horn i've ever heard.

    I always found rover horns to be quite loud with a nice tone, best part of a rover really.

    My opel omega has two horns mounted in the front bumper, very loud;)

    It's an '07. We did have an 02 Astra saloon before that and I seem to remember the horn on the 02 being considerably better.

    Baseline Golfs only get a single horn.
    Comfortline get dual tone ones.

    You can upgrade them pretty easily, google steible or air horns.

    A 1982 Datsun Cherry. I was 17, and she knew what she was at (which is more than I could say for myself at the time).

    *cough*

    Anyway, French/Italian cars at the time had those tinny awful single tone ones that were more suited to Noddy's car. It seems EU legislation has put paid to that now though.
