Was wondering if any of you lot have opened your NAT to allow better connections for the MP? If so, how?

I am using Eircom's Netopia 2247 NWG router.

1)type cmd into search/or run,a black box will appear
2)type in ipconfig into the black box
    3)press enter
4)your default gateway will be shown,it will be something like 192.168.0.15)
5)Type in the default gateway into your internet browsers address bar..press enter
6)this goes into your router..try and find something called UPnP and make sure its switched on...in my netgear router its just on the left hand side of the menues

    http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netopia/2247-02/Call_of_Duty-United_Offensive.htm

Something similar to this, but change the port numbers listed on that page to these ones.

    * UDP 1500 (outbound only, no forward needed)
    * UDP 3005 (outbound only, no forward needed)
    * UDP 3101 (outbound only, no forward needed)
    * UDP 28960 (inbound/outbound, must forward to act as a multi-player host, but no forward or inbound traffic needed to find and join games)
    Pinhole Name Port 1
    Protocol UDP
    External Port Start 1500
    External Port End 1500
Internal IP Address 192.168.2.1 (or whatever your static IP address is)
    Internal Port 1500

Is something like what you want. Then do it for all 4 of the above ports.

Thanks for the help lads, no real luck yet.

I followed the info from here: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netopia/2247-02/Call_of_Duty-United_Offensive.htm

Trouble is once I get to Expert Mode/Configure/Advanced there is no Pinhole option, I looked and found a NAT option and selected Port forwarding, just not sure exactly how I should enter those ports correctly into this:

I enabled upnp and then forwarded port 57540 on both my router and cable modem.
CoD was still telling me i was "Strict". Re-booted both router and modem and then bingo, all "open" now.
