TV5 on 5west should have it, if you have a motorised setup there will be no hassle getting the game.

    Looking at LJ's
TF1 is only free via SECAM analogue. The digital version is encrypted.

Fingers crossed JSC shows it. Too early yet to get their listings.

Getting the game will be no problem if you have a motorised dish, I'm sure there will be feeds available on the day. Well, I can almost guarantee it.

Im nearly 100% sure Al jazzeera have it as they cover all the world cup matches that they can.

Also im going to bet that it will be on one of our channels, most probably sky.

Al Jazeera is superb for international football, they show nearly every match.
I noticed that they had Frank Stapleton on for the Irish match tonight and they have high profile names on Jsc 3 most of the time.
I know their prime market is the middle east but are they targeting European markets too with their Westernised names.
When you consider what they show, they put Sky Sports to shame.

Heresy. This is the satellite board.

Would any of these have commentary in English?

    Is Al Jazzeera FTA?

I have a 70cm dish I will have to manually re-align so what would be the best channel to view this game on (FTA) as I want to only have to align the dish once.

We'll just have to wait until tomorrow or maybe wednesday to see what happens. Might be a case of having to go to the pub!

Absolute joke that they got it. I have foreign satellite and I was only too delighted that rte were not going to have it. Tough **** on the rest. Ohhh rte have to show the game. They dont have to do anything. Usual bs. I bet they didnt pay anywhere near the 1.5 million that was being asked either. Ah well. Thank god the irish society can sit in as usual and watch the game. Dont be going down near the pubs spending money

Thats a bit harsh mate? I too have euro subs and was looking forward telling people this is one reason why i have euro subscriptions.

RTE have apparently paid 800,000€ for it. Thats a lot of money for them. Wonder how much they will charge for advertising space?

Perhaps in times like these its bad that a national broadcaster has to show international matches, as this time its cost them a lot of money!

I only have RTE on DTT (Truskmore, When its broadcasting) My analouge picture is not worth watching on a 47" screen as its so bad, so i will probably watch it on Al Jazeera again.

800k is huge money,RTE are going to make a big loss on the match no doubt about it.

I think the point he was trying to make is that alot of people somehow demanded RTE show the match .
They took it for granted that they should see the match for free.
I guess it is symptomatic of the social welfare society that we live in.

Buhahahahahha. Symptomatic of the social welfare society we live in? Where did that come from?

Anyway, RTE is not free, there's the TV licence which goes to paying for these kinds of things.
