    Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can help me, I currently use an itrip to play our ipods via the radio but the car has an AUX slot and I was wondering if there is a cable I can purchase that will connect either my ipod (the video one) or my iphone directly into the cars sound system via this slot? It might be a very simple answer but I don't know it :)
    Thanks for any help/guidance...
    Marie

The Aux slot should just be a 3.5mm jack like this.

So all you need to get is a cable that has that type of connection on both ends and then take the sound from your iPhone, via the headphone jack, to your Aux slot on your car stereo.

Thank you for that...I guess one of those cables should be reasonably cheap also?
Am I right in thinking that the sound via this method should be better than via the itrip?
    Thanks Again :)

    You're welcome.
You should be able to pick one up for less that a fiver.

    Considerably better.

The only problem with using it this way would be running down the battery but you could use it in conjunction with a car charger.

    That's great :)
The battery doesn't bother me on the ipod as it is pretty good anyway for my car journey needs!
    Thank you.
