Skype problems with new version?

    I've just updated to Skype version 1.2.2 and the call quality is nothing short of rubbish. It's unusable. I called three different numbers in Ireland yesterday and had to hang up on all of them.

    Anyone else had problems with it? Or is it just my crappy internet on this side of the world? It worked fine before the upgrade, plus I have rebooted the phone a number of times.

    I'm actually finding the lastest version of Skype far superior in terms of call quality. Though it is a bit finicky when you open and close it a lot - stopped logging me in at one point, I had to tell it manually to log me in.

    Bah, just rang home and the quality was even worse.

    I really hope it isn't the end of Skype on my 1st Gen iPhone (as in, the phone can't handle it). :(

    Maybe try deleting it off iPhone and syncing it back on with the older version you may still have in iTunes ..... Longshot!
