So I just caught about 2 seconds of BBC 3's The Noughties was that it?

Some of the things they were talking about were things they couldn't possible know. The Narrator was trying to explain what it was like growning up as a child in the Noughties. Only a few teenagers could articulate that while the rest of the children who will articulate - it in 10 years time, when they are in their 20s - are still children.

RTÉ are planning a new season of Reeling in the Years in 2010.

watched this show. most of the talkers talk through their ar*e on these list shows. what was the name of the first song played on the number one craze or whatever 'text messaging'. i have heard it used in a few ads before. its a song with pianos and a violin kicking in to it

You must watch this film, brilliant.

I don't think that's the one. I knew the name of the piece, but I can't remember it any more. Originally, I thought it was "Music for a Found Harmonium", but that only sounds like it. It also sounds like the rhythm of "Tubular Bells".

Well that has been definitely used on TV3's We Love... series. I watch the Robbie Williams show where the referred to the nation and our Robbie. TV3 must think they live in London.

Did you listen to the whole piece because the beginning starts off quite different to the middle piece.

Aye. I remember that from the Ryder Cup "This will be epic" ads. I think. But the track they are talking about above in the thread is more like a minimalist composition.

Thats a good tune too but its not that. RTE used this song alongside 'A kaleidoscope of mathematics' to promote their gaa coverage back around 2002. it was also used in a hp ad. its mostly piano with violin slightly kicking in a minute ir two into the tune.

EDIT: i opened a thread about the very song some months back. anyways apologies for taking this thread off topic OP
