R.I.P. Brian O'Tuama

Hi everyone,

A student named Brian O Tuama has gone missing from University Hall. He was last seen in the city centre leaving Gorby’s nightclub at 1:30 am on Wednesday 11th. He’s 5” 11, longish dark brown hair, blue eyes. He was wearing a grey jumper , dark jeans, vans shoes.

A search is to commence every few hours.

Anglesea Garda Station can be contacted on 021 452 2000.

As far as I know the volunteer searchers are meeting at 8:30 am tomorrow, Sat. 13th Nov. at Pres Grounds by the Mardyke.

Thanks for that. Couldnt make it for the ones today but ill definately show up for it in the morning. Hopefully there will be a positive result.

The last time he was spotted is now considered to be 1:40am Outside McDonalds on Daunt Square. Just to update the OP a little.

Brian's sister was in my class in secondary school and I know that the family are terribly upset.

If you were out on the lash Wednesday night, please cast your minds back and see if you recall seeing Brian.

Good idea to keep awareness up dudara.
They're still searching but no result today either as of 5 pm anyway.
I can't even imagine what they're going through... my brain won't even go there

Not being insensitive or anything but was it confirmed it was him, because there was a second man went missing on Thursday as well.

If it is him, I'm glad for the family, that they can get some closure. I know it is a devestating loss for them and his friends, but the pain of not knowing can be much much harder to deal with. RIP

Brain was found today. At least the family have the consolation of giving him a decent burial and get some kind of closure, unwelcome as it may be. I know I said I'd not be posting here again and I can promise that this'll be my last post. I generally stay away from most message boards on the web for the simple fact that there's no controlling what some half-wit may type if she / he is lucky enough to have figured out a keyboard. Despite this I'm still shocked at the cruelty, stupidity and thoughtlessness I've seen on this thread.

Desperately sad news. Seemed to be a really nice guy. Seeing the poster of him on the bus earlier, and knowing his body had been found hit it home..
