Just booked my custom fitting !

    Decided to go with custom fitted mizuno mx100's as my new irons, getting fitted for them on monday evening in kinsealy driving rang by Karl Herbert.

    I know there is loads of threads and questions about custom fitting and it's benefits so if anyone would like to see a fitting session it's on at half seven.


    I'll keep you updated next week on what i thought of it as well.

    It went really well, got measured for everything from height, arm length, length, from wrists to ground, struck a lot of balls, measured swing speed ( 92mph) with 6 iron, measured contact on club face, measured where the club was impacting with the ground, used all sorts of camera and play back to analyse my swing and when it when all information was processed it turned out I needed standard club length, standard lie and standard grip.

    I guess that’s why I liked the standard mx100's set so much in the first place.

    It took about 20 mins and because I was standard everything Karl Herbert ( the pro who was fitting me ) gave me another nearly 30 min lesson on the new irons.

    It was an really great service an well worth the money, it's only €30.

    I would highly recommend Karl to anyone buying a new set of clubs. It's not that I’ve tried anyone else just that I feel I got extremely good value for money from him.

    I'm delighted with my new irons. I'll hit a bucket of balls Friday night and play my first round with them in coorstown on Sunday ! fingers crossed it's open.

    i was up there lastnight ,wanted to have a sly look at how things went :D i took the bay to the right of where i thaught he would fit you but off ye went down to the last bay on the right:( anyway best of luck with them , i guess ill have to find out for my self .

    ha ha, i remember seeing you there, yeah i thought i'd be in that bay as well, but all the camera stuff is down in the last room to the right.

    I'll give you an update on my first round with them on monday.
