Redundancy following Sick Leave

I would greatly appreciate any advice for my situation. I was on long term sick leave and was looking to return to work part-time but my employer has revoked all part-time and flexiwork to full-time. Anyone who can't do this has been offered redundancy. I've been told its 5 days or nothing and I just can't do this and would be going against medical advice. I don't want to be made redundant but I have no alternative. I know most people are in reverse situation and would kill for a full time job but in my case, I'm not physically able to do this.

My question? What do I do? If I sign on, I am not able to look for work until I get back on my feet which could be another 4/5 months. As I'm already claiming sick leave, can I continue to do so until I get a job that will facilitate me?

You can't go back to work (there's no way the employer should allow you to, given that you won't get medical clearance).

So you may be better asking this in State Benefits than here.
