3G Broadband - 95% coverage

    Just heard on the radio this morning that 3 are bragging about their 95% coverage national broadband scheme.

    just wondering how acurate is this figure, i personally live in the country and can't avail of 3 whereas my neighbours can. is there only 5% without coverage and those of you who have it how do you find the service good/bad?

    95% coverage relates to population and not land area. So it's available in 95% of the places that people live, not necessarily 95% of the country.

    that claim is complete ****e and nobody with any understanding of 3g Midband and cell breathing would believe a word of it.

    anyway they have another year to roll out the NBS, it is nowehere near complete ...and cannot reliably deliver .

    Yeah, what was the radio show. The NBS is ONLY in areas where broadband (or midband) is not already available (although it is in some of the NBS areas), and does not cover 95% of the country. That 95% statistic refers to Three's entire mobile phone network. NBS is only a small part of that. Whoever this was is either a liar, or a moron.
