flyers for gigs

    hi,


    does anyone know of any coures you can do to teach you how to use the software for making flyers, had a look on google there and cant seem to find anything on it


    maybe somebody on here knows of someone who does one on one tutorials?

    Get Photoshop and get creative. There won't be courses for just flyers. It will be a graphic design course id imagine.

    had fotoshop before and hadnt a clue how to use it, suppose il get it again and put a bit more effort in haha

    Youtube is your friend,

    Have a search for Photoshop tutorials there and that will sort you right out.

    I prefer using Illustrator CS for all of my flyer work, I find it stronger for text based stuff, nice clean vectors

    You can learn how to use the software but a good knowledge of design and what looks right is essential. A good looking flyer/poster looks like it was easy to do but in fact its a tough thing to do over and over. Its like teaching someone to use Ableton, it doesnt make them a good DJ.

    I'm not having a go at you, you might have a fine art degree behind you. Just be careful that you don't fall into the trap of thinking that a ton of photoshop filters and effects will make a good flyer. Lay it out first on paper, then do on screen.
