where to fit abus bicycle lock bracket to bicycle

I just got my road bike and the store had fitted the bracket for the Abus Granite U lock on the cross bar just under the seat. Is this the best place for it, or should i put it on the back left frame, down beside the wheel, where i have saw it on some bicycles? also, how do i loosen the bracket? I cannot see how it is…

There's two screws holding it in place - think they are philips head screws.

I wouldn't put it on the chainstays (I think that's where you are talking about). I would think the crossbar is probably the best place - either there or the seat tube. But if you it on the seat tube you'll probably lose access to a water bottle mount.

put it in a bag. Itl just flap about mounted to the frame.
