    Hey guys,
I've decided to study for the ACCA qualification and would like to start as soon as possible. I've already registered, no background in accounting so no exemptions.

I'd like to do F1-F3 through home study. My question is, if i order the Home Study courses now through BPP, will they still be up to date if i do the exams in Jan/Feb of next year. Does the syllabus change much each semester for F1-3?

Would i be too ambitious to try and get those 3 done by February and start an evening course (or two) for June exams? Do courses usually start in January or February?

The course for F1-F3 shouldn't change at all between now and then tbh. They bring out new books which include the most recent exam paper and not much other changes. Tax changes annually but other subjects have very little changes.
3 subjects is a lot to get done in 2-3 months but it is possible. The papers are multiple choice so they are considerably easier than other subjects but still tough ya know! :)
Coming from a non accounting background, it may be a bit much actually. You could probably get the books and see how you're getting on before you actually book the exams. Are you working in accounting?
Courses start usually the last Monday of Feb
    Best of luck :)

Thanks Dearg Lady. I'll definitely wait a while before i book the exams. It's been a few years since i did any proper study so it might it might be a bit much as you say.
I spent so long deciding whether or not become an accountant that i just want to jump straight in and not waste anymore time, but spreading them out through the semester would probably be a more wise option. I'll get ordering those books though :)

Does anyone know if the CBE places book up quickly?
