If you can delete all the channels you have and do this.
Press menu press instalation move down to satellite 43 press ok a Correct sign pops up press blue button set Nit to on, underneath that set scan to free then press ok. that's your receiver set to Astra/Eurobird and to add transponders as it scans for free to air channels,
The channels alrerady on the box are outdated also the box needs to be retuned every couple of months.

I,M getting mgm sky news cnn etc on astra a/b but astra a,b astra e or g only comes up but no astra d.I NEED ASTRA D to appear on the satelite menus so how do i get acess to d.I pressed reset to factory default ,has anyone got any info or advice to get bbc itv c4 tuned in from astra d.
I,M presuming astra 2d is at the same location as astra 2b 28.2degrees east.

generally you pick up everything is symbol is auto. I'd say delete it all and start again and you don't need astra 2d there as long as dish is pointing in right direction, you just enter all the correct freq and tp numbers . Get them from flysat.com

If you follow my directions on my previous post you wont need to add anything manually. Delete everything you have and Start your scan for free channels and set NIT to on. that way you are adding new Transponders to your receiver. Again as i said before the phillex receiver and a lot of other Fta receivers comes with outdated Frequencies and channels.

UPDATE,i used the sat finder box with audio beeper to find astra d then scanned , with polarization set to h,all the uk channels came in straight away.
ON the menu sat list it just says astra a/b its just the signal from sat astra h 19.2 was stronger easier 2find so i thought for a while i was recieving astra d not astra h . ,According to the install menu i,m on astra a/b but im getting bbc ,itv,c4,etc eg freesat channels eg truemovies etc from astra d 28.2 degrees .
The sat audio finder plus dish reciever lnb compass is included in the philex package, but it doesnt have a freesat epg, just a list of 100 favourite channels. But for90 euros its good value as a starter kit ,i presume i could put aother2 lnbs for freesat on the same dish by buying a special lnb mount unit.
Thanks for all the help anyway.

You seem to be pointing to 19.2 E

You could try the installation assistant here:
    http://www.onastra.com/how-to-receive-astra/installation-assistant/index.php

You need to point a bit more to the east

Your dish is pointing at the wrong satellite you are on Astra 19 east. you need to be pointing at Astra 28.2east. You need be at the back of your dish loosen the bolts on the dish bracket and move the dish to your left while slightly lowering the angle of it.

ok guys. update. Have done what you guys said and have had some joy but not a lot. Have definately found more english channels and some of the good music channels, however none of the bbc's, channel 4, itv or any of the others that are listed on the box. its really getting frustrating now. do you think i need to move even further east? I have the dish mounted on a south facing wall and don't know if i will be able to turn it much further without having to move it. thanks again.

sorry, I also meant to say scaller, that when I followed the instructions, i.e go to 43, turn NIT on etc, Astra 2A,B, (that is 43 on mine) is bringing in only 74 tv and 40 radio. does this sound about right? thanks

What you need to do is delete all the channels you had previously. Then follow my instructions. If your dish is aligned up right and you have a strong signal you should pull in around 340 channels and over 120 radio. Also if you stand in front of your dish looking at the LNB make sure that the threaded piece underneath that the cable is srewed on to is pointing at angle say 7 on a clock. Its called skew it optimises your signal. To do this just looses off the bolts slightly with a cross head screw driver and slightly rotate the lnb to your left.
What i would say also if the dish is a phillex dish {white one} then get your self six size 6mm nuts and put them on all the bolts on the inside of the bracket to act like a lock nut I find that the threads on the dish bracket are not strong.

Hi again guys. Well after a couple of weeks of constant fiddling with the dish, LNB etc, still no joy. Will not give up though. Don't suppose anyone know's of anyone in the Galway area who installs these things? Time to call in the pro's I think. Thanks again.

This is one of the most flustrating things ive ever done. Almost had it suddenly got 60% signal from just twisting the LNB. Tightened up the bolts and the signal was gone again !!!
