anybody know of ANY shops that stock these?

as i stated in another thread, i think my feet are too wide for my current shoes (cheapo shimanos), and my toes tend to go numb,

anyway, after reading about, it seems i need a wider shoe,

so im looking at northwave, then somebody suggested bontrager, i cant find any stockists around though, i went down to ThinkBike in Rathmines, the fella working there was supposed to get back to me, im still waiting on that

any help would be great lads,

Have you looked at Sidi. A number of their range have "Mega" sizes which are wider than normal (I have dropped a size with them)

+1 on the Sidi's, they seem to have shoes to fit anybody. If you really want Bontragers you could give the lads in Centro(distributor) a shout. They're well used to people calling to source Trek/Bontrager parts.

Also consider Specialized, they are quite wide and very good shoes.

Diadora also do wide fitting shoes.

I have a pair of Northwave. The are so wide that they have scuffed my cranks. If you get any wider than that you may have issues with rubbing against the cranks.

i tried on 2 pairs, they felt snug, but too snug, im going off the advice of the lad working in cycleways, and what ive read on the internet, but they felt lovely yeah

i actually havent tried any sidis, i didnt know about the "mega" ones.

the only reason ive been thinking about them, is the space, but i know what you mean, they nearly felt too big, can shoes be too wide??

as for diadora, where can i try them on? its not that i dont want to buy online, but with shoes, you really need to try them on first

i emailed them, a chap called simon got back in touch saying he could get them sent to a shop, kinda odd, he says "oh yeah ,they`re not really stocked that much in Ireland", im no merchandiser, but surely if you wanted to sell something, youd make sure they where stocked??

but how can i get them sent to a shop for me, do i go down to my lbs, and say "here, im ordering stuff in for myself?" kinda odd isnt it

Standard SIDI are a fair bit narrower than Specialized- I have never tried the "mega" fitting. If you find Specialized narrow I reckon you have extremely wide feet all right!

i really should measure them, i never had trouble buying runners or shoes before, could it just be im paranoid because my cheap shimanos shoes are sh*e??

cycleogical was the answer i was looking for

i rambled in earlier and so and behold, there they where!!

only in size 43 though, so he`s getting 46`s in for me next week or the week after

actually,m the service was very good, after reading numerous bad reports here about them, i was reluctant to go in, but i was pleasently surprised
