This guy in England is putting his house up for a raffle. He was on Irish radio a few months back.

Anyone can enter. Given English raffle laws, you have to use some skill to win...so you pay £50GBP (by Paypal or Creditcard) and do the website's Sudoku puzzle to enter.

If you're like me and can't do Sudoku, just use online websites/software that will do the puzzle for you.

Looks like a good scam, he charges 5o bob to enter, gets loads of exposure.
Takes in 10k entries, and "gives" away a house worth half that.

Fair play to the lad for trying

    Edit:

I just clicked the link. He is actually open about it, and wants much more than 10k, it closes at 14k

Which means he takes in 700k, and "gives away" (lol OP) the house.
Nice tiny profit on a 3 bed.

Yes you are right about him hoping to make a profit, and as you said he is open about that.

But i wouldn't call it a "scam" as you said. Just good business. When you call it a scam people might be put off by this raffle, but it's a genuine raffle with a chance to win a house.
