New to this forum, hope you can help.

Is anyone running MW2 on a laptop? If so, what specs and how are you finding it?

I am about to buy a new laptop and think I will need at least the following:

    1. Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz) or the T9550
    2. Nvidia 9600M Gt 512MB dedicated Vram / ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650.
    3. 3+Gigs of RAM.

Any ideas if this will be good enough and what model I might look for?

    Thanks, 30

Yeah, you'll play it fine. You won't max it with high res and AA, but if you compromise on a few settings it should play fine. Ive played Cod4 plenty on a laptop with 8600M GT. MW2 should have similar-ish performance and I think a fella here actually said it ran better on his low end system than COD4.

Any Core2Duo should be grand, most of the good ones are 2.2GHz upwards anyhow these days so I wouldn't worry too much about the CPU.

2GB+ RAM would be grand. Most modern computers come with at least 3 or 4GB so again, it shouldn't be an issue.

The HD4650 looks to be a little bit better than the 9600M GT.

Here are your choices for running COD6 on a laptop.

Dell XPS M1730 ( can be got on boards for about between €1000-1200- try and get one with dual 8800gtxm in them)

Alienware M17x --very expensive but it will last you a 2-3 years.

You can get cheaper ones but gaming will suck on them in less than a year.
