I'm living on postgrad campus in DCU. I think its great here! It is a bit more expensive than private accomodation in the area but for me its worth it. Don't have to worry about bills or landlords or anything like that, free tv, free high-speed internet etc. It was pretty quiet around here last year when there was no bar, but now that the bar has re-opened it is a bit more lively (although I prefered it when it was quiet:D)

Not many people in the building mix though, if you know what I mean. Its not like an undergrad res where everyone knows everyone. Most people stick to themselves or just hang out with their flatmates.

Make sure to get your application in early (february i think) since they are always popular.

Is it a Febuary or Sept start to the masters?

It would have to be Sept since that's the start of the academic year. Applications for accomodation would have to be in by February

There are 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments mate. I think the 3 bedroom apartment is the norm, at least in the B block where I live. If you put your friends student number on the form they'll try to fit you both in together.

The DCU accommodation website can be found at: http://www.roomsatdcu.com/

    Hope that's a help mate.

I don't there's a strict limit on how long you stay. Tell them you only want 9 months and they should be ol with it. In any case you can leave with one months notice

Instead of making a similar tread , I have a few questions.
Which is better, Postgrad block or College park block?
I am doing a taught masters, so 9-10 months.
From reading the other treads block A is nosier then the rest so is there a way to avoid them?
