Hi All

I need to buy around 100 square bales or 8-10 round bales or hay. What is hay making price wise?? I'm near Galway city

do see it--over here! louth area in the local papers there asking for €3.50 - €4 a bale
and about €30+ for a round bale

check ur local papers--might see some for sale..or the farmers journal...

We sold all ours ex field and ex shed for prices ranging from 2.50 to 3, depending on the customer and their past with us. was great hay. Could have got more but never advertised. Roughly 1500 small bales sold no problem. Cork

same here--i bought hay ex field...for similar price 2.75 a bale! be a bit dearer now-from a shed!
its always handy to hav a few small hay bales around...

your better off to buy round bales ,better value than squares
round bales are making around 30 euro in galway and squares were 3euro last year.
plenty of hay for sale down in headford.

What are round bales of hay making delivered into the west at the minute? I had a couple of hauliers on to me about buying some but was thinking of drawing it myself.

id say about 30 euros delivered for good hay.
a lot of the guys in connemara are buying ration so the market for hay is not as good thereanymore.
