    I had a strange idea that as The Master is obviously coming back wouldn't it be interesting if he came back as David Tenant? I thought I read somewhere that Tenant said he wasn't done with the series so in theory it might be possible.

    Reasonably sure this isn't a runner. :)

    Due to the time and space nature of Doctor Who I would say DT simply meant he would return as the 10th Doctor some day.

    Due to the nature of the time travel he is never really meant to meet himself either. It would just make for an interesting twist although I freely admit he could easily just come back as the 10th Doctor or alternative time line human-10th doctor. It would be nice to see another Doctor come in and do something too

    I think the OP meant that he would take on the appearance of the tenth doctor.

    Technically, as we saw with Romana II, this is possible, to model their appearance on another during regeneration.

    But do agree that Tennant would probably only come back in the audio books realm or a movie!

    I know there have been multi Doctor episodes. Just thinking that it would be interesting to have the Master messing around with time pretending to be the Doctor. It could have some very interesting plots and a large story arch in the same way Rose's return had.

    I am pretty sure Tenant said something about coming back for further specials
