I dont really know a lot about the extended continuity of the DW universe but does anyone else see the link between the above?

I know Adams wrote some DW eps in the past but just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on this. If the Doctor did "run" when he stared into the time vortex, was what he saw the same as Zafod? Is how Douglas describves the TPV how the Time Vortex works. Enough to drive anyone mad.

Probably just the fact that it's a pretty standard sci fi conceit that people's brains dribble out their ears when confronted with the true majesty of space and time.

That said, there's been a few little mentions of HHGTTG on DW before...

That Arthur Dent is a nice man.

Ah i understand that but if the doctor "ran" why is he the last time lord left. I mean he isnt even that if he didnt pass the test and didnt he steal his tardis? Or has this been updated since the last great time war?

Well, continuity is never the best in Doctor Who.

The Doctor is definitely a time lord though, I guess the definition of what a time lord is is whats up in the air.

Probably best they dont explain, I dont think anyone really wants to define it. My favorite of the Doctors titles is the Lonely God. Poetic and completely unknowable. Still, I would like it to hear more of what the doctor did after staring into the Time Vortex. Not sure if the 11th is up for the challege of portraying the Doctor but have to wait and see...
