Yo, I would like to know the same.
So far my experience in searching for IT jobs in the states hasn't been great (and I have American Citizenship). It seems as though when they see your address in Ireland they don't want to bother with ya. Uggh

Although check out www.dice.com. Very good site for IT jobs in the states.

The address thing is more likely true. There are still IT jobs out there depending on the location. What type of IT work are you looking for as i had my old recruiter emailing me if i knew anybody who is looking to work in a law firm., general IT Helpdesk duties. I am in the opposite boat. I have a decent job in IT here but want to move home after nearly 4 years here. I would take anything at this stage just to get my foot in the door.

I'm looking for a SAP job as I'm an senior analyst.
I'm thinking to leave Ireland for a couple of months and try my luck in finding a job in US...
It's almost impossible to find a job there form here...

Yeh there are plenty of IT jobs there alright. As for myself I'm looking for computer security, data forensics and e-discovery jobs.
