    Hi guys

Gear cable snapped last night, had to try open up the shifter because the end of the cable was stuck inside so I couldn't pop a new cable in. Anyway, two of the screw threads were as soft as butter and wrung the second I tried to loosen them. Does anybody know where I'd get Shimano spare parts? In particular I am looking for part number Y-6CD 36000

shimano spares are notoriously hard to get hold of your best bet is to go round a freindly shop and hope they have a broken one you can nick the screws off. its not down as a spare part on the importers (www.madison.co.uk)
