Pink Eye or the Acuvue Lenses?

Right, my other half has been using lenses for the past 5 years and as far as i know hasn't had any problems with them. He's been through dailies, reusables, the lot!

Lately he's been having severe pains in his eyes, similar to the symptoms of conjunctivitis... I'v tried SOOOOO hard to get him to go to the doctors or optition but its actually like drawing blood from a stone... Hes cleans his lenses all the time and has never ever had a problem with his eyes before this.

Last week we managed to get drops for him for conjunctivitis which he used for about a week. It was a miracle! No pain, no irritations, NOTHING! He was cured... Now 3 days later, back to square one..

I'm thinking it maybe could be his lenses. He changed brand of lenses to Johnsons Acuvue Dailies. I'v tried googling the symptoms of being allergic to contact lenses but nothing is really coming up great for it.

Just wondering if anyone has ever had problems with this brand of lenses, and if so, what were your symptoms?

Iv told himself if he's not feeling better by Monday, I am actually dragging him over my shoulder and down to the doctor. Men...

The only way to sort this out is get him down to the optician and get professional advice - absolute madness not doing it imo.

Tell him recurrent conjunctivitis is linked to erectile dysfunction. Then time how fast he reaches to dial GP for appointment ;)

Seriously though, he needs to see a doc, you can't mess about with things like that.

I agree its total madness...!!! I think he thinks that unless his arm is dangling off, there is no need for the doctor. I'v got him to throw on the glasses for a while anyways [with great effort] to see if it picks up with the drops.
He's even getting up during the night scratching and itching away.

I'v told him if he doesn't go to the docs, he'll be heading back to his mothers :p
Its like having a three year old stubborn child around the house
