Book on anatomy/stretching?

Regardless of what stretching I do, I always seem to miss something...

I just spent a few days googling to try and reverse-engineer the back of my leg to figure out exactly what bit was too tight so that I could find a decent stretch for it (google didn't like 'what connects the bottom of your bum cheek to the inside of your knee'; I think its the semitendinosus, which the usual touch your toes type stretching for the hamstrings wasn't quite hitting :/ ).

Anyway.. I'm looking for a book recommendation that would give an overview of specific muscle anatomy + appropriate stretches, ideally with some indication of which bits are most relevant for the tri sports. There's a rake of generic ones on amazon; anyone know of any I should definitely have/avoid?

Off the top of my head "the concise book of muscles" by chris jarmy is good for what you're saying there, it's mostly based around the anatomy of muscles but has stretches and strengthening exercises for each one. I've rakes of books like that at home I'll have a look for you later and post some amazon links. If you're in Dublin head to waterstones or hodges figgis they're both great for books like that and waterstones always have the jarmy one of you want to look through it before you buy.

The one I have is 'The Anatomy of Stretching' by Brad Walker - does the job quite nicely.

Stretching by Bob Anderson is a well respected book - http://www.amazon.com/Stretching-Bob-Anderson/dp/0394738748

Has sections on how to stretch pretty much every muscle in the body and then has more specific stretches for different sports.
