The little bro just got his Learners permit. Does anyone know if there's a way of getting round/speeding up/exemption from the 6 month wait for a test?

Check the website and apply for a test somewhere with a lower waiting time.
I thought with added overflow test centers and such they got the waiting list down to 6 weeks anyway..

If he submits a letter from an employer that states he needs a full licence for work they will speed it up AFAIK.

It's been a long time since I sat my test.

get a letter from a job which requires him to have a driving licence and present this with his application and he should get a cancellation when one comes up.

No can do. You can't take a driving test until you have your learners permit at least 6 months.

No, that waiting time was brought in to make sure beginners got enough experience before taking their test.

What you're looking for is a flux capacitor.

Go to your local car dealer / garage to get one fitted.
