Broadband and a home alarm!!

    As most alarms work with a phone line am I stuck with Eircom line rental or secondary provider or do the new services like Wimax from Imagine use a different technology???
    If I am stuck with a home phoneline who is the cheapest rental???
    How are people finding Wimax???

    Most operate over either GSM or a phone line nowadays .

    Vodafone O2 Meteor would come to mind , costs are covered in your annual contract .
