That is a good find, was looking at this a few weeks ago, and it was definitely much dearer. I am pedantic about photo backup, so will probably invest in this when my current solution expires. It also ties in nicely if anyone is using Googles Picasa software

    I use http://www.idrive.com/
Your can get 2GB for free, But I purchased the 150GB option for around €35 PA. Into my 2nd year and have around 110GB backed up already.

nice one. I have 3 picasa accounts just ot have 3 gig. It would be worth my while now to get a 20 gig account for that price.

gmail has 7gb free but each chunk of data can only be 25mb.

Does anybody know if after a year you'll get hit for $20 for the following year?

By default, this storage will auto-renew at the end of the year. You can change this setting at the time of purchase or at any time during the year. We'll send two reminder emails, both 30 and 3 days before the renewal charge.

I wouldn't trust an unknown company with 50GB of my data, especially a company that claims they will store it for free!

Just thought I'd mention this, for those people like me looking to use this for backup primarily like me.

    Max 1000 files per folder
    Max 1000 folders

The first one is the one that got me - all our photos were synced to the "Pictures" folder on PC.

It does but, for photo storage, Picasa can be more 'user friendly'.
