Disappearing Cycle Lanes?

    I couldn't help but notice that a couple of good stretches of cycle lanes that I use regularily seem to have been tarmaced over, without the lane being remarked?

    The problem is that I know there was a cycle lane there but unfortunately Drivers don't!

    (leaving us cyclist without a cycle lane)

    Has anyone else noticed similar instances?

    That sounds worse than some of the lanes I use which just end abruptly. :rolleyes:

    I've started cycling again and close to my mum's there is a sign to say that the cycle lane is about to end.....which would be fine except for the total lack of a cycle lane there, regardless of which direction you are approaching the sign from.....the mind boggles.....:rolleyes:

    I've noticed as well that some new cycle lanes are too wide...wide enough to fit a car...so what do drivers do? They use them. So when the traffic is heavy cyclists have to use the footpath.

    Am I the only cyclist who fantasises about kicking off a cars side mirror thats taking up half the cycle lane??! I think I have anger issues:D
