The wrist strap on my RS800CX has come undone.
I still have all the parts, but the glue that holds the small link piece to the strap has been worn away.

    Happen to anyone else?

Anyone know where I'd get it fixed?
Or can anyone recommend a glue to bond a small hard plactic piece to the silicone strap?

I don't want to send it back to Polar (no Polar repair centers in Ireland).

Do polar have anything on their website? or amazon? I got a strap repair kit for my garmin from their website.

I sent my 800CX back last week to polar cause the strap broke. You can call them in the UK and see if they can help you out. My watch is now in the postal system awaiting return ........... I feel naked without it.

The exact same thing happened to my RS800CX strap.

You have to post it back to the UK to get it fixed. (Just google Polar UK to get the website and address).

They fixed mine and also replaced my watch face (which had been scratched) and gave me a new HR belt as well. Return everything you have when you send it back, as they test it all and may replace anything faulty - there was no charge for me, and my watch looked brand new when it cam back.

Initially I was irrate that my strap broke (on such an expensive watch), but infairness to Polar they replaced the lot and it took about 10 working days to get it back! (just badger them with lots of emails)

The strap on my RS800 broke a month or two ago. Rang the customer support in the UK and ordered a new strap. (about 17 euro). Had it within a week. The local jewellers fitted the strap then.

Pretty sure most 800CX are under warranty still. Mine came back yesterday from Polar with a new face as well so I am happy. If you do send it baack take the advice here and send everything back. I didn't but now I may need to resend the S3 back as they said it may be faulty based on a phone call -- no bother since I rarely use it (prefer GPS at the moment) just a hassle.

now where is my mac support

    Hey Bagus,

I'd bought my watch online and as such it had no warrenty from the dealer. I explained that to Polar and they just asked me to include the receipt from the transaction, which proved I had bought the watch. That was it.

Also I explained that the scratch "happened when the strap broke", and as such was more Polars fault than mine.

Overall I was pretty pleased with Polars response and repair work.

Also I did investigate having a specialist watch shop fix my watch before sending it back to Polar, but they wanted to use superglu. In my mind if you pay as much money as it costs to buy the RS800CX, you don't put f***ing super-glue on it if theres another option available!!

    Hope that helps!
