    Video has been pulled :(

Not sure is a general hack called a ''wall hack'' but i was expecting to see a player who could walk through walls or something along those lines...... but it was he could ''see'' through walls, not so much about walls, more like radar. He had a square box around all players, blue for friendlies and red for enemies, could see where all players were at all times

Can't see why people use these things, quitting a game early your getting annihilated(by a clan of nerds who worship COD like a gospel) in is one thing, but why would anyone enjoy playing games where they have cheats running, so pointless

Activision pulled it for copyright apparently! xD

VAC is pretty bad but I didnt think it'd be this open to exploitation

I agree with this. You also have the issue with people just being bad and don't know how to get better. Terribly sad.

no matter what anti cheat is involved in the game, cheating will always be there. Its just going to be more noticable in this game as you cant kick clear aimbotters:mad:

The really sad fact is that the game was very easy to make hacks for - They were effectively released within <24 hours - and now with VAC and without the anticheat community the game will become hackers heaven - IW already have your money and as with every other game in the series they wont do jack to police the cheaters ingame.

What versions is this effecting? PC only? Or all copies

I know the PS3 version of MW had cheats like this too but never saw anything like it in the 360 version.

Such sad people out there. What's the point in coming first in a game if that's how you did it? I see the gutless wonder hid his username at the beginning.

There will always be hackers in PC games really, but TBH IW have fanned the fire so to speak with this game which is why I think there'll be a massive amount of hackers in MW2.

Aye but you get this on the PS3 as well, the recent UFO hacks were the most obvious but the aimbots are still there as are some wallhackers...even after IW patched the first lot of aimbots, infinite ammos and wallhackers.

    So pointless.

It should be easy enough to spot a cheater using aimbot/wallhack.
Can we not report them to VAC somehow?

I thought all the cheaters on PS3 (CoD4) were just map glitching or doing that thing where they edit their save file and then roaming outside of map (UFO mode). Never heard of a PS3 aimbot or wallhack...

Given that its very hard (virtually impossible?) to run custom code on a PS3 (as evidenced by the continuing lack of custome firmware or home brew), any hack needs to be a game bug/glitch exploit - no?

No. Most have been patched (see here and here) but there are still aimbots out there on PS3, I don't know how they are done and whoever is doing it obviously hasn't released it very widely (or it's too difficult for script kiddies to implement) but they are there.

EDIT: Just realised that the videos on those sites are deleted but I did view them way back when and they were for real :)

The thing about the UFO hack (et al) was that they only worked for a few weeks - didn't IW issue a patch that resolved the issue? the glitching started around Aug 1st, and was patched around Aug 30th (even though it was effectivly blocked from Aug 6-7th, with the release of new playlists that disabled the various no-clip modes the glitches used)

I still maintain that hacks like this are waaay more common on PC, simply by the ease with which you can mess with the code/configs.

I don't think anyone said PC hacks weren't more common.

True, my train of thought got a bit addled there :-)

As the PC version now uses a central service like the console versions can we expect to see mass bannings ala xbox live.

i.e. IWNet detects a CD key using unauthorised mods and bans it from multiplayer?

Exactly. What's the point, how can anyone get any satisfaction!
All those hacks are pointless imho, ruin the game for yourself and everyone else
