    Hello All,
Got notified that I have to meet with FAS on Monday. The letter is vague so can anyone tell me what to expect? Do I need to bring down my CV , rejection letters etc.....?
I could do with some help at the moment as I have an MA but no experience and even part-time jobs are looking for 1 year experience. I also can't drive and that's a problem. So did they help any of you?

Yes, you would bring down your CV and rejection letters etc.

But you sound as if you are unsure what you want to do. I'd suggest a visit to your local library and borrow a copy of "What color is your parachute" before you go down. They are probably trying to see are you genuinely looking for work and if there is any direction they can push you in.

The 1 year experience sometimes is meaningful, sometimes not. Often jobs advertised as requiring a degree in a particular area will accept a diploma or a degree in another area. A lot of employers put up a shopping list based on what the previous person in role had, but may not expect to get exactly the same.

I know what I want to do , but I can't find work in my area so I'm starting to look for work outside my field i.e retail , catering etc.. but they just want experience and not an MA:rolleyes:

I have applied for a lot of jobs and graduate programs but I think I have 2 rejection letters!

Went to one a few months ago. Do bring a copy of your cv as they can update there database with it. Also they will give you any information on any courses you might be interested in. They were not interested in seeing any rejection letters from me.
