Swine Flu - Tempting??

I know 2 people that took a week off from work due to swine flu. BTW one of them had it and the other didnt. As you are advised not to go to the doctor how do people know they have swine flu? Is this the perfect excuse to take a weeks sick leave? I could do with a week off and thinking off getting this "swine flu".

    Any tips.

A friend of mine was told to produce the empty packet of Tamiflu to his supervisor at ASDA.

Thats just mean. I was talking to asthmatic the other day and he said it was pretty scary to have, it badly triggered his normally well controlled asthma and he found it frightening to be unable to breathe despite taking all the normal dosages of preventative and relief medication. Apparently it can trigger pneumonia in some cases and thats why they are giving the vaccine to asthmatics first.

Get someone with swine flu and rub them all over your face.

I was hospitalised by it as it messed up my insulin dosages. Luckily my seminar leaders were all fine about it, but if too many people take the pi55 that could change.

And here we have the wonderful attitude of too many people in the work force. If you really need a weeks break that bad, take some annual leave. If you dont have any left, too bad, suck it up. This attitude of "oh there is a flu going around, I can use it as an excuse to get a few days holidays" is sickening tbh. I sincerely hope that not too many actually think like this.

Tamiflu is only supposed to be used by people with underlying symptoms. Paracetemol for everyone else. I just back from a week off due to it. I called the HSE and my girlfriend who also had it went to some special health unit on her campus

Say if you do ring into work and pretend you had the swine flu, what happens if you really get it a few weeks later?
Can you get the swine flu twice?

It's easy enough to fake flu like symptoms, even to a Doctor. You could get a Doctor's note, and they'll give you the week off work... it shouldn't matter the type of flu...

Some Doctors can be strict enough when it comes to getting a sick cert from them.
