    Hi all..

Have any of you played Breedlove Acoustic Guitars before? The reason I ask is because I am not really familiar with them. I saw one in a local shop recently and it had a sound hold just under the preamp facing up at me as I sit and play. The website say this is a new feature and is acting as a monitor for the player. The model I tried out was D350/CM. I believe its from Breedlove's Atlas Solo Series. I always thought Breedlove was one of the high spec manufacturers and was surprised to see this model at a price I could afford. I played the guitar acoustically in the shop for about 5 mins and man what a sound... I cant stop thinking about how great it felt to play and how much the extra "monitor" sound hole added to the overall enjoyment of playing. Right now I'm even trying to think of a way to finance the thing... and I dont even need another acoustic... though you all know that that is besides the point and that a new guitar is bought for enjoyment and not for a need of it...

Anyway, I just wanted to know if any of you have anything to add or if you had any experiences with them before? What are they like to play live also? They sound great and all when you try them out 1st, but but them into the live band mix with lead guitar, bass and drums... then how are you fixed??

Any info at all would be great. This seems to be a new model so I'm even finding it hard to come across reviews and demos online.

    Thanks again
    C

I can feel your excitement from here Charloman :D

Breedlove's are fine high end instruments. Beautifully made with stunning attention to detail. They are in the top class.

However, I've tried a few of them at various trade shows and my conclusion was they are over priced. One of the models I tried was a Martin copy. It was twice the price of the Martin but didn't have the depth in sound of the Martin

But don't get me wrong. Guitars are like women, you can't help which one you fall in love with & if that Guitar touched your soul and you can find the money then go for it.
One word of caution though: In my experience, you can have 10 Acoustic Guitars, all the same model but there just might be one that has that something special the others don't. In other words, I'd try and buy the one you tried and not order the same model from else where, you might be disappointed.
