I see numerous threads like this popping up every day, anyone actually complete one? Like, get 20 bets in a row, having the balls to place the winnings from the 19th one on to the last bet?

    Just curious!

well, my boyfriend turned 2euros into 162euros in two days with combination bets on horses: few patents and a treble.
I haven't had such luck yet and probably never will because I do singles only.

There are plenty of success stories but one way or another through be it greed or not, you'll lose a large percentage of that accumulated fortune.

I once invested €1 in a lotto ticket and won £5m.
(Ok, that never really happened) :(

at the weekend I had an accumaltor that came up for 170 quid.. off a tenner..
Then I taught **** it, il stick it on david haye that night, he was evens.. Turned in2 350 quid!!

That was a good day off a tenner!!

Off 2 paris next week so that'll take care of that!!!!:D

like most things - you stay at it long enough and it will eventually become easier to recognise a win (or series or winners) ...and by that time the bookies will ban you claiming you have inside knowledge.

I've had my fair share of gambling over the years - win some - loose some - as long as you dont use money thats not yours or use money that you cant afford to loose then everythings gravy !!

most I've ever won in a day has been 3K .... most I have ever lost in a day was 3K - but I have had a number of days where I've lost 3K in a row .... never really had 3K wins in a row....very rare. (cant remember if it ever happened or how long ago if it did)

but I've stopped gambling - well I had quit until 2 days ago - fell off the wagon (€250) - but back on track to limit my gambling..... I have 2/3 months of no gambling and cleared off about 10K from credit cards...and bought loads of stuff :P

10k in 2/3 months, and bought "loads of stuff",if u are making that much why do u need to gamble,or why would u need a credit card:confused:

So just join betfair then, you'll not get banned from there for constantly winning.

I used to gamble out of boredom - but have stopped.... I was using the credit cards to gamble. (online)

I work freelance so the more I work the more I earn....hardest part is getting paid (people are quick to hire but slow to pay)...... so my decision to work 7 days a week is stopping my gambling.... I try to take a day off every couple of weeks - just to allow my body to rest.

Betfair's premium charge is having the similar effect of pushing people off the site or forcing them to open up accounts under mates/relations names. 20% commision is a joke. A smart, consistant, winning customer costs a bookmakers money so they close you down. It's incredibably frustrating but I see the reason for it from the bookmakers point of view. Betfair makes commision from winning customers but still sees the need to puish them further on charges/commision.

You could always bet with the daq although the liquidity is still quite poor in certain markets including Irish racing.

Indeed, that's the option and the issue in one sentence. It would be great if some real quality competition to Betfair emerged and forced them back to more competitive ways again.
