    Hi folks,

Anyone know the cheapest place to buy one of the above. The cheapest dualshock i found online is £35 in amazon.

If there is an irish retailer with i similar price i wouldn't mind paying a bit extra.

    Thanks

That's most likely going to be the cheapest. They're expensive, and awful controllers. Occasionally you'll see somewhere like GAME offering them slightly cheaper with new games.

My original controller is on the way out, i think someone spilled something on it so i have to buy a new one.

What about the original wireless one, are these available?

Try adverts.ie. There's probably a load of the old wireless ones sitting about unused after people upgraded to the Dualshock.

    Try videogamesplus.ca

I got a cool red dualshock for €39 including shipping.

It arrived from Canada in 2 days!

Yeah, I thought about them but there is a chance that you get caught for customs fees so it might not be worth it.

Is it not true that the newer Dualshock (3 is it) wireless controllers are far superior to the previous models?

Thanks (sorry dont have PS3 yet but looking at getting one for christmas and will need a second controller also!).

Coolshop have standard black ones for STG£31.86 delivered, I bought one last month and got it within a few days. See here, they also have blue and red for slightly dearer.

Also noticed on HUKD that CarPhoneWarehouse in UK have them for STG£26, not sure if the Irish stores stock them or if there's any chance of them offering for a decent price like that.

It's superior to the Sixaxis in that it's heavier and vibrates.

A lot of people aren't impressed with the PS controller since the XBox 360 one appeared. I still like it though.

It's pretty much the exact same and the PSOne and PS2 joypad and is pretty awful to go back to using after the Xbox 360's pad.

Thanks guys. I haven't pick up a PS pad in years and have grown seriously accustomed to the Xbox 360 one.... :(
