Region 1 DVD - Will only play on North American Region 1 or multi-region DVD players.

    What does this mean exactly? I have a regular DVD player hooked up to the TV and a laptop - how will i know if they are multi-region???

    It means the DVD player you bought in Europe is probably locked to only play Region 2 DVD's.. whereas the DVD you're buying (off Amazon presumably) will only play on Region 1 player's (US).

    But many DVD players can be easily unlocked (using the remote) to play any region DVD's.

    Let me know the model of the DVD player and I'll see if it can be unlocked.
