Anybody having trouble setting up the ORB PS3 headset/Mic they got with COD?

Ive been trying for ages and I cant get itIve had mics before and never had problems setting it up but the manual doesnt help in setting it up its really confsuing.
It sais:
3. Hold the P button for 5 seconds till the LED goes red then extend the Mic while the LED remains red
4. If LED flashes blue repeat step 3.

Surely somebody else bought this with COD?? How do I get it working. After part 4 its just the normal, start scanning, type 0000 etc and I know how to do that but it wont come when I do "start scanning".
FFS no wonder they were half price and trying to get rid of them. So frustrating!!!!:rolleyes:

I emailed them yesterday heres what I got back and it worked for me

Apologies for any inconvenience that you may have experienced in operating the ORB Bluetooth Headset.

Can we please suggest the following

"Hold the P button down for 5 Seconds extend the microphone and then remove your finger from the P button". This has been a issue that some customers have discovered and been amended in all new ORB Bluetooth headsets manual

If this doesn't resolve the issue please return the product to your nearest Blockbuster Store for a assistance or a replacement Headset.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

You have to keep holding the button down while you extend the mic... I bought one of these about a month ago from Xtravision and set it up on second attempt... Have also set it up with my phone and it works perfectly

Yeah you quoted what it says in the manual. What I posted is different if you've read it and when I tried it the way they discribed in the email it paired up immediately first time

Yes done that. Still no luck or perhaps it takes awhile...

Had the MGS4 special edition bluetooth earpiece/headset. Paired within seconds.

But Orb.... :rolleyes:

Just to let you guys know how I got my Orb headset from Xtravision working

-make sure ps3 is scanning for devices

-hold p button down until it goes red

-once it goes red, flip the mic part out
-you can let go of p button once you flip the mic out

-when the mic has been flipped out, you should see the red light keep flashing and the ps3 will pair them together..

Cheers mate, I orginally kept getting flashing blue light instead of the red. Once again, thanks.

i have dis headset but not really tinkin its gud...i hear the person talking for 1 second and not for another 3 seconds or sumtin like dat its really annoying is dis the case with every headset?:mad:

bit of advice for ye lads , fire that piece of sh1t mic in the bin . Theres a reason xtra-vision were giving them out for free . Its takes about 3/4 days to get it working and when you finally do ...........its useless anyway .

Get yourself the offical playstation one for around €30 . (if you have a playstation of course )

Got to say, the quality is fairly decent.

Just the instructions to start up were ****e.
