incorrect item returns

There may not be an issue here, I just want to see where I stand.
I live in Germany and ordered a duvet from a market seller on amazon.co.uk.

    It arrived today.

The duvet I ordered was for a double bed and I received one for a kingsize bed. All my duvet covers are double so it won't fit.

The description of the product says 200X200cm on my order. The duvet that arrived is 210X225cm.

I opened the outer layer of the packaging but did not take the duvet out of the bag, as the first thing I checked was the size.

I sent an email, and they responded quickly saying to open the duvet to check.

It clearly says the size on the bag, and there is no way I'm opening the packaging so they won't have to take it back.

The issue arises with postage costs. I paid £11.25 for the duvet and an exra £9.95 for postage and packaging.

It's not my fault they sent the wrong duvet, so I presume I would not be responsible for the postage cost of sending the duvet back to England and for them to send me the correct one. Can anybody say if my assumption is true?

    Thanks,
    Sorry for the essay!

You shouldn't have to pay to correct their mistake, no, but if they refuse to cover the cost, you're going to have a hard time forcing them. Have you asked if they'll cover the return costs yet, or have they actually refused?

They haven't refused yet which is why it may not be an issue.

The email they sent back was to say that "it should be a double"... I know it should be a double!

and "to open it and see", which I don't want to do incase they refuse to take it back. It clearly says kingsize and the measurements on the cover.

unfortunately they don't have a phone number on their website.
