not sure if this is the right place for this, please move if not.

my oh has been out on long term sick leave from his job (2.5yrs). Thankfully he has now been given the go ahead from his dr to be able to go back to work.

thing is, his boss is happy to have him back and would have him back in the morning... but the 'big bosses' are stalling, its been 6 weeks now since he got the go ahead to go back to work, but they won't say he can come back to work.

Can they do this??? What should we do??

Of course they can do this. If they have managed this long without him, perhaps they are waiting for a suitable vacancy.

You can fire someone if they are regularly sick, or sick long term, so the power is in their hands.

If you go to the citizens information website you can read more about it there.
