I recently ordered prescription meds from India. Today I got a letter from customs:

'I refer to a letter packet addressed to you, examined by Customs & Excise in the Dublin Mail Centre and found to have prescription only medicinal products inside.

The Medicines Board have detained part/all of the consignment and will be in touch with you shortly.'

I really need them. Meds are to expensive in Ireland and no Doctors in Dundalk are taking on new patients so I can't even get a doctor. What can I say to get them back.

    Thanks

EDIT - It is illegal, not to say downright stupid, to buy prescription medicine online without a prescription. Please go to a GP even if you have to travel to do so.

im afraid you wont be able to get them back.

ordering prescription meds online and importing them into ireland is illegal.

it is also extremely dangerous, as you have no guarantee that the meds are what it is claimed they are.

if you do not have a medical card, then you will not have to pay more than €100 in any month for prescription meds.

regards a doctor, maybe you will have to travel a small bit further afield to find one who is taking on new patients.

Getting prescription medication on-line is not wise.

Anyone on medications needs to be monitered by a doctor.

Please take note of what Sam 34 has said and find a doctor.
