Just seen that 3e will be starting a new news program lasting 30mins from the 23rd November at 6pm called 3e News.

    Just quote from digiguide:
Embracing new media, 3e News gives you the most important stories from home and across the globe. The hottest word on entertainment, sport that matters, and of all the latest from the web.
    And seen on wikipedia:
CEO of the TV3 Group David McRedmond revealed in an interview with Hot Press on Thursday, October 8, 2009 that 3e would produce a new news programme targeting a demographic between 15 to 34 years of age. The show will air every evening and it is expected to start broadcasting at the end of October
I wonder what it's going to be like? "Embracing new media"?? Well that's obviously going to be twitter so :p. But very strange to be on going up against a show that's also aimed at 15-34yr olds - XPOSE. Although they probably don't want to go up against Home And Away on RTE2 at 6.30.

This has just started on TV3. Who is this meant to appeal to ? It clashes with the Six One news on RTE1, and TV3's own Xpose. Have they spotted a gap in the market for people who don't like hard news, but find Xpose too fluffy ??

I'm surprised they run it directly against RTE news and Xpose, they should at least show it at 6.30 and give it a chance.
