Cartman is chosen to do the morning announcements at South Park Elementary.

    Preview:

    http://www.southparkstudios.co.uk/clips/sp_vid_255329/

Hard really to tell what the episode is going to be about cause the preview clip and the quote don't seem to be related.
Anyway ....... lets hope its a good one. ;)

Seems like an episode parodying fox news' glenn beck. Cannot wait! For those of you who do not know him: .

    Whens this out?

Anyone not looking forward to new episodes of Southpark anymore? Imo theyve been piss poor since they came back a few weeks ago.

Did Glenn Beck rape and murder a young girl in 1990? We haven't seen proof that he didn't...

This really needs to be cleared up.

Looks a promising one from the clip.

I wouldn't say they were piss poor but they haven't been hitting the top standards South Park usually sets.

I think we need an episode centred around Randy.

I don't agree with this at all. The whales episode and I see dead celebrities were excellent imo. Overall, Ive found each episode at least watchable.

This episode was pretty good. The Glen Beck parody was quite funny. I live in Boston so its more applicable to an American audience.
At the end where Cartman couldn't take the criticism, very well done.

It took me a second to get the Avatar and Dances With Wolves comparison, very clever indeed. :p

Good episode, better than the last two.

****in A. They nailed Glenn Beck to the wall, something I have been waiting for them to do since I first saw his show.

    that was awesome.

The avatar bit at the end rocked.

V good episode. Biker one sucked but Butters the pimp and dolphin ones were class.
You know what I am saying!

I loved how they ripped Glenn Beck a new one. I hate him. Great episode. All the episodes since they came back have been pretty good I think.

Brilliant episode. I didn't know who Glenn Beck was but still thought that Cartman was great. Now that I know its even better :D. I was wondering how The Smurf's were going to fit into the episode but Cartman's Film was great. Butters was fantastic again in the episode. I split my sides when he waddled away after pissing on Wendy's front door :D.

I should really find out who they're parodying before an episode, because I don't have a clue who Glenn Beck is. Maybe that's why I didn't like it - couple of laughs, but left with the overwhelming 'meh' feeling.

the one thing they missed was glenn beck's crying.

Also is it just me or have cartman's episodes started focusing on some new rivalry between him and wendy?

We had the breast cancer one last year (which I also liked)

Thought it was an OK episode without any memorable laugh out load jokes/scenes.
An episode that will be forgotten as the years go one me thinks.

I am almost sure Cartman did cry at one point.

I thought this was a pretty poor episode. Probably the worst one since they came back, in my view. I know a bit about Glenn Beck from watching Charlie Brooker and Jon Stewart rip on him so I was happy to see South Park do the same, but I didn't think it was enough to save it.

The smurfs bit seemed fairly pointless and the bit about Avatar was good for a chuckle but overall fell a bit flat I felt. Reminded me of the Whale Whores ending which I also disliked.

Overall I think the recent episodes have been quite disappointing. I think next week's episode is the last of the season so I hope they can finish with a bang.

i never heard of glenn beck, and i thought this was taking the piss out of alex jones, who's great for the odd conspiracy theory, especially the obama deception where he stops halfway through to plug his dvd like cartman did in this. it was still brilliant though. loved the audible chocolate from casey too!!

That was quite possibly the best start to any South Park ever.

    Absolutely woeful episode.

    Absolutely woeful episode.

I thought it was a fantastic episode, probably the best this season. I just think that its humour might have been lost this side of the Atlantic. Understandably so as people won't know who Glenn Beck is.

Jesus, that Dances with Smurfs/Avatar gag was the biggest shoehorn I've ever seen in South Park.

I'm surprised to see such love for this episode. This is possibly the worst episode i've seen since that god-awful one with "Mingey" in Oprah's pants. I actually had to stop halfway through and finish it later.

I gather it's a parody of Glen Beck, but I didn't think that one-stop parody warranted an entire plot. I thought this half-season was pretty poor relative to some other seasons. I just think it leant far too heavily on making fun of celebrities. I agree that some of the impact is lost on non-American audiences, but surely that means it's just current/topical and not actually that funny. It's like the inauguration speech on the Obama/bank heist episode - sure it's great to copy and paste the speech from 24 hours before it occured, but the story just wasn't that funny. Maybe you just have to be american for it to be funny.

I also found the whole basis of the episode - Cartman being a jackass pounding the same frustrating point, just to lead into an entirely unoriginal jab at Avatar to be just so obnoxious. The movie isn't out yet, but let's name drop it anyway. (Not that I liked the film, I just thought the joke - and the 20 minute setup to it was really weak and uninspired) If some guy's a giant douche, why dedicate 20 minutes to him? Why not just expose him and kill him off in a few minutes, like in Whale Whores? Screamed 'we're out of ideas' to me...maybe these guys need some time off to come up with great ep ideas.

I hope South Park come up with some more original/less topical celebrity parody stories next season. Although some great eps this season, it was more dud than great.
